DISCLAIMER: THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL RECOMMENDATION, SIMPLY A LOVE STORY TO SOME OF THE INCREDIBLE MEMBERS WHO HAVE A TRACK RECORD OF QUALITY WORK, PROMPT SERVICE, AND FAIR PRICING....IN....OUR...OPINION....
"Storms have the potential of producing damaging winds that could damage trees and cause power outages; large hail that could damage roofs and cars; frequent cloud to ground lightning; and a few tornadoes," said the weather service. "Outdoor events may need to enact safety procedures due to fast storm motions and significant impacts." (source)
Stay safe, have your insurance advisor's contact information handy, then contact these members if your commercial property is damaged:
Jodi Camasta / BluSky Restoration Contractors and Baylee Miller / Commercial Restoration Company. These ladies will remediate your building so it is safe to re-enter if the storm causes water or fire damage of any kind.
Then Andrew Riley + Melissa Smithson / DWC Construction Co., Inc. will bring in their team faster than Lightning McQueen to quote and repair any interior / exterior damage.... seriously any kind of damage.... except landscaping
Thankfully, Chad Sikes / CityGreen Services can remove/replace any damaged trees, plants, landscaping, etc. while building repairs are underway.
Have to pack up, move everything out, and temporarily store your belongings before repairs can start? Peter Zolensky / Flood Brothers Commercial Services 🏢 will do just that! And they label each waterproof box with a level of OCD we wish we all had so everything gets put back right where it belongs once your repairs are completed.
And if things get a little messy, Allie Williamson / SDDCleaning will get your building clean as new once the repairs are completed! And she'll probably hand deliver one of her freshly baked pies with your invoice (check out Allie's Cookbook).
Bonus Considerations:
If you have a non-warrantied roof you'll want a prompt & well priced roof inspections with a thorough report (with lots of pictures!) from Nicholas Geraci / Empire Roofing, Inc. You can also ask your warranty provider to assign any known repairs to Empire, they're pre-approved by most warranty providers.
Hopefully, all goes well if you have to file an insurance claim, but if things don't go according to plan, Eryn Crane / Altieri Insurance Consultants is a 3rd party consultant who will work for you, not the insurance company, to maximize your payout, and minimize your out of pocket expenses.
Then you should go ahead and contact the insurance team you now wish you'd had before there was damage, which is Matt Sligh, M.Ed. / Brown & Brown Insurance.
You're welcome!
